5 Reasons I Love The Princess Bride

A while ago I put this post up about the princess bride, but I really just love it so much that I had to keep talking about it.

1) “As you wish.”

I love love. I could talk about it all day long. This sentence is so much more than just I love you, it represents that love is an action verb. It has to be played out in reality.

2) Inconceivable

I feel like this is just one of those enough said moments. However, I’ll add a little more to it. The whole “you keep using that word, and I do not think it means what you think it means” is basically our reality. We are all just trying to look cool and be well put together, but at the end of the day – can you actually define it?

3) The Dread Pirate Roberts

To me, this is everything you need to know about what’s in a name. I think sometimes we believe that our name and reputation are stuck that way for forever. The truth is that we can at anytime step down and do our own thing.

4) “My name is Indigo Montoya you killed my father, prepare to die.”

Persistence and grit are two character traits that will bid you well in life. Hopefully, you don’t have as traumatic of an experience to commit you to the business of revenge. Either way, being able to stick to something for so long that you become a master is quite impressive, and it takes a lot of guts to go that far. My congratulations to you.

5) A story in a story.

The Princess Bride is a bridge for the grandson and the grandfather. Not everything in life has to tear us apart. I love watching/reading/experiencing things that build us up. Life is a story within a story, we each own a story within the grander story of the world. Maybe it’s time we learned a thing or two about how to bridge the gaps.
