I recognize that I am very, very late to the party. However, can we all agree that The Greatest Showman is one of the best films ever?!?!
I would love to write a blog post on every part of that movie that I loved. (In fact, I may, one day.) For now, though I want to focus on a line that hit hard.
Charity is trying to help Phineas process his train of thought. In the midst of that, she says,“You don’t need everyone to love you, just a few good people.”
Over the past few months, I’ve struggled to find people that can love me well. What I have found is that I have a core group of people that do love me well.
These people have been there through the good, the bad, and the ugly. They are the ones that practically do life with me. It’s the people that bring random dinner invitations, house keys, and gluten-free goodies.
They are the people that care more about how I’m doing instead of what I’ve done. They are people sharing life, teaching me how to celebrate in the midst of losses.
Find your people and hold them tight. I promise you those people are committed to the long haul; they won’t disappoint.
