a little bit of a throwback because some days you prioritize friends you live 8 hours away from instead of photography. 🙃❤️
sometimes we react to things so fast we don’t even know what happened until after the fact.
today was one of those days.
my amazing friend got me this sign to hang in my apartment. when I opened the wrapping paper the first thing that came out of my mouth was “THAT’S MY TWITTER BIO” 🤦🏻♀️🙊😂
it’s crazy how we associate tangible things to the intangible world of social media. & how it consumes the forefront of our thoughts.
note Toby’s half disappointment as he stood still and Alyssa ran away…🤷🏻♀️sometimes it’s not hard to be the good child, ya know 😂
going into 2019 ready to take on the world💪🏼 (you know after I’ve had coffee 😉)
2018 was a big year. I started my Praxis program. I was diagnosed. I spent 12 weeks in Philly. I moved to Chicago! I started working for Ama La Vida. I started leaning into photography. I read 18 books. I wrote 147 blog posts. I was featured twice on the Unsplash editorial feed. I traveled by train twice. I flew for the first time alone. I exploded oatmeal in my own kitchen for the first (& hopefully last) time.
2019, I’m pushing my creative limits. I’m writing more blogs, I’m shooting more photos, I’m filming videos. I’m reading more #25pagesday.
2018 felt like I was forced to grow. I wasn’t ever 100% ready for what happened next. 2019 I’m embracing growth.

The new year has me all over that confetti scene as long as I don’t have to clean it up… You feel me?!
