While I can appreciate a good kind of busy, I can also really appreciate a slow starting, easy going day.
Since moving to Chicago; my Saturdays are slower than ever. What I first dreaded; I now quite enjoy. It gives me time to call friends, leisurely go grocery shopping, and casually bake the day away.
Last weekend, I made these simply fantastic cookies. They were pumpkin oatmeal chocolate chip, and you can find the recipe here.
I also made this pineapple zucchini bread.
This weekend, however, I made the classic Hill family banana bread. Along with these Chocolate Chip cookies.
In other news, I find my Saturdays to be quite refreshing when you take them slow and do what pleases you.
Now, I’m going to go binge-watch some more Downton Abbey, see you tomorrow!
